Grab a piece of paper and something to write with

Quick grab a piece of paper and a pencil or ink pen. Make sure you can write this down. Now in order to find a great MLM or network marketing leader we have to know what it is you are looking for. Take a minute and decide what a great leader looks like to you. What qualities does a leader posses in your opinion. Now write them down, don’t worry about the order of importance just write them down after giving it a little thought.

Now give a look at your list and give it some more thought and try to decide the order of importance. Order of important should not make that much difference. However, the number one or number two spots could be significant.
Now from your past or present can you think of at least one or two people who meet all or most of that criteria on your list? If so write their names down too.

Now place a star or check mark next to each quality of leadership you wrote down on your first list that you personally posses. Be truthful with yourself. It is okay if you can only check one, two or less on your list it’s okay, really.
You see to find great leaders in network marketing it certainly helps to know what we are looking for. But don’t prejudge because a lot of today’s top performing leaders didn’t necessarily enter this business that way. Most certainly they went through a growth process, you know the part you rarely get to see. One thing about leaders and potential leaders is that they do seek out good leadership to follow themselves. So it is important that we work on ourselves as harder than we do on our businesses.
We must make a decision to become great leaders that others will want to follow. Now that you have a good idea of qualities good leaders exhibit you can go to work right now in becoming a person of influence that others will one day put on their list. You have also identified people you know that lead with the qualities on your list. Take full advantage of finding out how they did it. What books have they read? Do they have audios or videos you can get exposed to? Where are they scheduled to speak at? How serious are you at seeking them out.
